Kiriazis House

I am not getting many calls from people ready to build a dream house these days, economy such that it is. I am, however talking to people about interventions – simple ways to improve functionality and aesthetics without breaking the bank.

The original mid-century modern home designed by architect Bill Fletcher had some interesting features, but the owners longed for more southern light and a more welcoming entry “room’. They wanted to give the home a facelift and sought an artistic statement piece. I explored several options and created a hybrid model of the preferred schemes live with the client in my studio. Creating 3d models in Sketchup has been invaluable for getting clients inside my designs – to the heart of the space, helping them to make more informed decisions while having the agility to quickly test revisions and refinements in 3d.
