Design with Fire was a competition entry for 2012 Neocon Canada Exhibition creating a fireplace utilizing a specified gas fireplace insert. I was interested in designing something small-scale and made it a personal challenge to design and document in one <rather long> day. The K fireplace plays the role of everything you would expect from a traditional hearth – a place to gather with friends and family or just to curl up with a book, with plenty of nooks and […]
Project with SRG Partnership | PCC was planning a 100,000 gsf transit-oriented academic building located along the Max line at TriMet’s Willow Creek/SW 185th Transit Center. Ground level […]
Visualizations I prepared for a local contractor to demonstrate a side-by-side comparison of three different construction strategies and show the contractor’s expertise in managing a high-density mixed-use multi-family project and to help the client evaluate and quickly make an informed decision about the approach. In addition to a time-lapse animation, I created graphic diagrams to demonstrate construction techniques that otherwise may have not been understood.

The original mid-century modern home designed by architect Bill Fletcher had some interesting features, but the owners longed for more southern light and a more welcoming entry “room’. They wanted to give the home a facelift and […]
